When i was about 9 years of age my dad used to tell me stories of his childhood when he used to lived in a village called Denham which is located just outside Bury st Edmunds in suffolk. The story what he told me about the house he used to live in, was that 9 o'clock every night the noise of a metal chain could be heard around the house, his mum replyed to him that it was nothing to worry about.
Intrigued by this my dad then sometimes saw a glowing ball of green light hovering 4 foot off the ground for about 5 min just across the road outside the house. some nights my dad and his brother used to play in the church located very close by his house, one night they were on there bikes going towards the church my dad noticed something coming towards him from the direction of the church,as the apparition got closer it wasnt reacting in anyway to avoid my dad on his bike and went straight through him. my dad then turned around to see what it was and started to look for it and never saw it anymore.The apparition what he saw was shaped as a person and thought nothing more of it. Many years later my dad researched the history of the village and found out that there was a witch involved and that witch was only 15 yrs old, and the reason behind that was because of her beauty attracted the male villagers and the female villagers believed that was a curse. so the witch was captured and bound in chains and dragged up to the church and was locked up til she was nearly dead and the released her from the church and beside the church was a well, and threw this witch down the well to drown. once they knew she was dead they then buried her across the road from my dads house. some years ago a water pipe had burst and needed repairing as workmen were digging up the roadside to repair the pipe they made a discovery of remains of a body with chains still attatched to the legs, the glowing ball of light can still still be witnessed to this day. So this story got me so intrigued about the paranormal i wanted to know and learn more and started my own research.
